Natalie Raffoul is one of Canada's top Intellectual Property (IP) and patent lawyers. She's also Managing Partner at Brion Raffoul, a law practice in Ottawa, Canada.
In this interview, she explains her job and shares her journey from a kid who loved discovering how things work to her education in engineering and law to her career helping entrepreneurs, companies and governments protect their technological inventions.
"As a patent lawyer with an engineering background, I am often the only female in meetings. Be confident. Take your place. You have every right to be there. One of the advantages that I have is that I'm memorable because I'm one of the only females there."
